From 01 February 2010 onwards Dr. Martin Welp (41) will be strengthening the management of Dörken MKS-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG, Herdecke, with a focus on sales and marketing. In this capacity he succeeds Dr. Peer Gutenberger, who held this position at Dörken until 2009. With a PhD in Cemistry, Dr. Martin Welp has held several positions within the chemical industry and was most recently employed at Evonik Industries AG in Germany and abroad, where he was responsible for operational and strategic steering within the Chemicals business unit.

An internationally experienced manager, he is looking forward to working with the highly capable MKS Sales team and already has clear ideas for his new field of tasks: "The aim is to reinforce the global business of Dörken MKS-Systeme in established markets and to actively support the growth potential in new markets. One personal goal of mine is to increase the competitiveness of our customers in the current market environment."
