Every corporate policy is only as good as its results: for this reason, for us, all aspects of works safety and environmental protection are dependent on quality. This measure is not only applied to ourselves on a daily basis, but also to our partners.
An example of the consequences of this policy at Dörken is the initiation of the European quality label association Qualicor MKS. The aim of this association is the standardisation of quality standards for micro layer corrosion protection systems throughout Europe, and the further development of these. Qualicor is a quality label recognised throughout Europe. It is only awarded to companies that satisfy the defined requirements with regard to the coating process and which guarantee the quality of coating.
Our most recent step has been the establishment of a combined quality, works safety and environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN ISO 14001 and EMAS.
The fact that our product innovations continuously set new standards on the market is down to our Research and Development department. Our staff are thus addressing the questions of the future, today.
Our latest coating system, DELTA-PROTEKT® KH 250 for brake discs and brake drums is solvent-free, as well as reducing CO2 emissions due to the fact that it requires just five minutes at room temperature to dry. We also more than meet the requirements of the existing EU directive on end-of-life vehicles.
Just how effective our environmental policy is in practice can be seen in the assessments of independent third parties. The DELTA-MKS systems satisfy the strict requirements of the Sony Corporation with regard to environmental friendliness and harmlessness to health: because, from the very beginning, we have omitted heavy metals such as chromium, lead, molybdenum, nickel and cadmium, we are the only company in our branch to be awarded the status of Sony Green Partner.
