Ron Strong, an expert in fastening systems, has joined Dörken Corporation USA, Grass Lake/MI, Dörken MKS Systems’ North American subsidiary. Strong takes on responsibility for the company’s provision of support and technical advice to automotive industry OEMs, suppliers, coatings users and a variety of trade organisations in the USA.

He brings to his new role over 31 years of experience from his time at General Motors. In addition to his technical expertise, he was involved in the development of new paint technologies for fastening elements and was also one of the team responsible for drafting engineering standards in the fastening systems division.

Dörken is thus continuing its trend of making targeted investments in personnel and equipment in key markets. Only last September, the company opened a new technical centre at its Grass Lake site, near to Detroit, North America’s automotive capital.
