First trade fair appearance at BAU successful

Description:

From the 14th to 19th of January 2019 the BAU took place in Munich. The world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems attracted more than 250,000 visitors from 150 countries to its halls.

This year, BAU achieved new top marks: 2,250 exhibitors from 45 countries presented their products and solutions in the construction industry on an exhibition space totaling 200,000 square meters. For the first time appearing at BAU: Dörken MKS. The corrosion experts presented their high-performance coatings for components in the construction industry at their booth. "We are happy to have been at BAU for the first time," says Key Account Manager Global Sales Christos Tselebidis. "We were able to bring our coating solutions closer to the construction industry and sensitize them to the relevance of corrosion protection systems."

A particular highlight at the trade fair stand was a wooden block into which visitors could screw two construction screws – one screw without and one with Dörken MKS coating and lubricant. The comparison made it clear: The screw with Dörken MKS coating was already screwed in after 5 seconds, the screw without Dörken MKS coating is broken off after 10 seconds. Visitors were thus able to experience the advantages of zinc flake systems live at the trade fair.

In addition, the international fair offered Dörken MKS the opportunity to introduce THE CORROSION COLLEGE further. The College offers seminars to all interested parties with knowledge communication and project-oriented solutions on the subject of corrosion and corrosion protection – and special seminars for the construction industry are also included in the seminar programme 1-2019.

Overall, the exhibition team was pleased with the high visitor frequency and quality of discussions. "Although the construction industry is a very heterogeneous sector, we were able to hold very good and exciting discussions. The visit to the trade fair offered us absolute added value," sums up Managing Director Dr. Martin Welp.
