Adhesion

Adhesion is a surface characteristic. It describes the energy that is required to loosen a coating from a component.

Enduring protection of the surface – for example in the form of a corrosion protection coat – exists where the paint or varnish film remains firmly adhered or anchored, including under the influence of external factors such as moisture, salt, gases or air.
